Summer Trip 2004
This summer I had the privilege of seeing beautiful British Columbia while traveling with my daughter and her family. While on the ferry we saw a good number of killer whales. What a sight! One passenger said he counted 16 of them. One day my daughter, daughter-in-law and four of my grandchildren had the time of their lives taking a ride down to Cowichan River on tubes. They all had their stories at the end of the ride---a few bruises, scrapes, and a little cold. My son-in-law and daughter took us to the ocean and on the way we saw fantastic beauty, lakes, winding roads, bridges, and a giant cedar tree. There we stopped and all of us surrounded the tree by linking our arms together. In Hope B.C. we had a great time seeing the Bridal Falls. They were awesome. I had some great moments with our grandchildren on many occasions taking pictures and fellowshipping around the table. Going to church was a fun and exciting time for me. The song leader, pianist, and guitar player were all young ladies. While our granddaughter played the bass guitar I was impressed with all three of them. Then to my surprise and joy they sang 3 hymns, one of them being "Come thou fount of every blessing." And then another surprise when the song leader explained the meaning of the word EBENEZER in verse 2 which is: After the Israelists had won the battle against the Philistines, Samuel the spiritual leader of Israel placed a commemorative stone at the place of victory. 1 Samuel 7:12 saying; "Hitherto hath
the Lord helped us." As the sun was setting on the ocean my daughter took advantage of the glorious sunset by taking some outstanding pictures. Hope you all had a wonderful summer. God bless you all. -Louise |
